Friday...bleah

Well, it is freezing in my little corner of the world...a valid excuse to stay indoors fuelled by caffeine and chocolate while I write some more of the fan fic I'm currently posting on LiveJournal! Tried haggis for the first time last night with some trepidation - surprisingly good, as long as you don't think too much about what's in it.

Well, day one...

It's raining today...again...which makes me grateful for a good DVD collection, because going outside is really the last thing I want to do. For anyone who happens upon this journal, I am a resident member of staff in a boarding school - no name, no location, but I'm willing to bet that things are pretty much the same in most of them.

The Spring term brings many delights...Astroturf burns from playing hockey, the annual flu epidemic which brings home the fact that our sick bay only has six beds for more than 300 students, and - the Inter House Singing Contest. This afternoon saw a meeting in our common room to discuss what our House entry ought to be this year - at the moment it seems to be leaning towards "Can't Take My Eyes Off You", which is at least slightly more palatable than last year's entry - namely a reworked version of YMCA, which would have left even Simon Cowell lost for harsh comments...
